Should I completely buzz my head to hide my thinning hair?

I'm a 20 year old male and I have just recently started loosing my hair on my crown area like crazy!!! I have researched online about rapid hair loss symptoms due to excessive drinking and have stopped drinking completely as soon as I found this out.The hair loss has stopped and I am taking a bunch of multivitamins to regrow my hair like zinc and b6. I currently have my hair buzzed with a #1 size clip but you can still tell that my hair is really thin on top. So should I just completely buzz my head with no clip or would that show off my thinning hair even more? I'm talking like skin head short (not a skin head personally) but not completely shaved like a bald person. Thanks any help is greatly appreciated =)
