Best way to clean a leather jacket?

My house had a severe fire and the jacket carries a bad smoke smell to it. The jacket is clean on the outside as well as the inside but the smell is pretty bad. Any suggestions on how to rid it of the smell? I know using some mild soap with water will clean the exterior but I need to know if there's a way to get rid of the stink. I appreciate any help.
