Fishing at the Zinc plant in Clarksville, TN?

I am just wondering how I get ot the ponds behind the Zinc plant in Clarksville? I had some buddies tell me about it so I went down there and pulled up to the front and it looked like i had to drive through the plant to get there. Is this correct or is there a trail to walk/drive around?
